Mage has the biggest published area damage and a difficulty index that is in its own band. It is an A for players who already know the boss clock, not a first class. The quoted capstone line is the English string from client 0.112.5. The plan under it is a community reading, not a counted sample of our own runs. Open the gear page and the planner when the capstone is chosen.

A tier · beginner #8 · clear score #3 (164.1)

Survivability: Low index 120. Difficulty: Hard index 45. Range: Ranged.

Starter: Fireball. Capstone text says Water Elemental starts you on Frostbolt instead of Fireball, so Fireball is the default. A separate clear-score board lists Frostbolt as the starter. We follow the capstone wording.

F spell: Blink, 10s. Races: Gnome, Troll, Undead.

Hit points are not printed. Older posts disagree, including Paladin figures of 245 and 160, and this desk will not pick one.

Pyroclasm

Capstone. You start every run with Pyroblast, and enemies killed by your Fire spells explode for {v}% of their maximum health on everything within 6 yd, at most 3 a second.

Quoted from the 0.112.5 English string table. A “v” in curly braces is the client’s placeholder. This page does not fill it in. The notes below are still community.

The chain-explosion ceiling.

Summon Water Elemental

Capstone. You start every run with Frostbolt instead of Fireball. A Water Elemental fights at your side, hurling Frostbolts, and a free Frost Nova bursts from you every 8 sec.

Quoted from the 0.112.5 English string table. A “v” in curly braces is the client’s placeholder. This page does not fill it in. The notes below are still community.

The safer Mage. Slows and a pet buy time.

Arcane Power

Capstone. You start every run with Arcane Missiles instead of Fireball, and your spells strike twice {v}% more often. Your echoes cascade: a spell that strikes twice by chance rolls again to strike once more, up to 3 more times in a row.

Quoted from the 0.112.5 English string table. A “v” in curly braces is the client’s placeholder. This page does not fill it in. The notes below are still community.

A proc plan. Echo and crit feed it.

Milestones worth the points

Spell book

Per-rank damage is not a single number in the 0.112.5 tooltips we read. Many of them still say “v” in curly braces. The table is the spell’s job, plus the icon when the client record names one. Rank the spell your capstone names, and leave the others.

Bosses and mistakes

Explosions clear adds. The boss still has to be kited under 30% health. Blink through the boss, not into a corner.

A fire/frost/arcane mix. The three capstones replace the starter spell. Do not skip health and armor entirely. One surround ends the run.

What 0.110.0 changed
